I like this bag. I find the conversion to backpack takes less than 30 seconds. I haven't worn the backpack for more than several minutes at a time, but it gives you a nice "hands free" way to take care of your bike, lights, lock, etc. It's also great when you have to navigate around on an intermodal commute (I take my bike on the train). As a pannier it works flawlessly. The only thing I would add is a mesh outside pocket to stash a water bottle or other small items when you are off the bike.

I wasn't completely sure what I was getting, but this is a great backpack/pannier hybrid. I use it for daily commutes to class. Not a huge bag but plenty of space for notebooks and a few textbooks. The attachment is practically universal, meaning it will attach to most any type of rear bike rack. Takes about 5 seconds to attach, a second to remove (with one hand, at that); what takes longest is stowing away the attachment to access the backpack straps. Love the rain cover. Overall a great bag.
