Tubus Tara Front Rack

Stock status: Ships in approx. 1-2 weeks

Full steam ahead with the Tara!

The most popular Tubus front rack has been improved over recent years, and is well known as the indestructible burro.

Racks are a great way to get extra storage capacity and spread out your gear when touring with a bike trailer. The Tara front rack works with forks that have eyelets on the dropouts. The adjustable upper swing arms can be bolted into forks that have threaded mid fork eyelets. For forks that don't have mid-fork eyelets use the Tubus Mid-Fork Eyelets for standard or over-sized forks.

Mount a pair of rugged waterproof Ortlieb Panniers to the Tubus Tara.

View the Tubus Tara mounting instructions(requires Adobe Acrobat 4.0+).

Very well made. One shortcoming is lack of attachment of panniers to bottom horizontal. The instruction sheet shows a plastic hook, but I was unable to locate one (Bike Trailer Shop, Ortlieb distributor, and writing to Tubus directly). However, McMaster-Carr comes to the rescue with a cushioned loop clamp and some tag washers.

This seems to be a goo product . But i want to warn you about 1 thing : On my bike one of the eylets is a M6 type instead of M5, and i need to increase the size of the hole on the rack to put the screw.
