I ordered this bag in red for my fiance's birthday. I needed something waterproof, as he bike commutes to downtown Seattle (about 9 miles) every day, rain or shine. He absolutely loves this bag. It has kept everything dry, the padding on the back makes for a comfortable ride, and he uses the little helmet net when he goes to the gym on his lunch break. The construction and the materials are solid. Great buy for the price!

I tore the internet apart looking for the perfect bag for my commute in NY. I've used the packman for 2 weeks in hot, cold, dry, wet conditions. I highly recommend it and BikeBagShop had the best price and service. What makes it awesome: - light weight - waterproof - durable materials - good ergonomics in the straps and positioning - good suspension from the waist & chest straps - decent airflow over the back - support for a bladder tube - Not ugly What makes it less than perfect: - the outside pocket is not waterproof - the interior pocket is a hanging flap that's not detachable and is too long to lay across the width of the bag. - the helmet flap isn't very secure - no light loops - no d-rings or loops for a shoulder strap These are really nit picky complaints. I'm just trying to give all the detail that I would look for.

Have been using the Pro2 for a couple of weeks. It's a great tool for commuting: nice capacity, waterproof (it's been rainy in Philly), good fit and very comfortable. Well made. Only wish is for a larger outside pocket. Oh, BikeBagShop had the best price. Terrific service, too. Thanks!

Great pack!!! Seems to be just the right size for everything I have and then some. I have had several rides in severe rain storms and all my stuff was dry on the other end. Rugged. The only complaint I have is that the out side pocket is not water proof, so it is worthless if it rains or there is a chance of rain. This pack is great buy.

This is a tough great backpack! I used it on a rafting expedition in Honduras for two weeks. Even though it rained most of the time while hiking, climbing and rafting the pack performed very well. Perfect size for all day endeavors with gear that needs a bit of protection from the elements. The interior pouches are very useful for finding smaller items like batteries and flashlight. The zippered exterior pockets are also useful for a knife, sunscreen or snack. I am now taking it back to Honduras to try it out in the dry hot inland environment with the hydration water bag attached that still allows for waterproof use. I am 6' 4" tall with a long torso but this pack still fit me at the chest strap and waist belt. Ortlieb has great gear that can be used for many uses in the field and on expeditions. My only comment would be that the side straps should have been a bit longer and use male/female clips to connect. Robert the Explorer
