The OMM Sherpa front rack is great for off-road touring. This rack is compatible with suspension forks and carries a hefty 40 lbs.
If you don't have mid fork mounts, no worries, this rack can mount without them using the optional seat stay clamps. The Sherpa Rear Rack combines with the front rack for the ultimate off-road team.

Easy to install, reasonable price, solid performance. I purchased it recently to use on a 5-day trip on the Great Divide Mountain Bike trail in Montana.
