OMM Red Rock Rear Rack

Stock status: 5+ in stock

The Red Rock is Tough Stuff

Now the OMM Red Rock Rear Rack is one tough work horse. The long top shelf offers plenty of space for a hefty set of rear panniers and the load stop up front lets you pile on the gear. This rack mounts using the dropout eyelets and brake bosses.

For bikes with no brake bosses or road caliper brakes, the band clamp accessories can attach the rack to your seat stays; or for bikes with disc brakes, a Disc Adapter Kit is available for a perfect fit. Couple the tough, OMM Red Rock Rear Rack with the Ultimate Lowrider Front rack and have 100 pounds of carrying capacity! That's a lotta gear!

I like this rack, it seems well constructed. Currently though I am finding it incompatible with my gary fisher wingra. The lower tabs of the rack that are meant to screw on to the eyelets of the rear hub are far too wide. The seat stay weld won't let the rack come parallel to the ground.

Red Rock Rack Built like a tank. A high quality tank. Pricey and worth it. As advertised, it easily bolted up in a tricky situation, a custom mountain bike frame with no superfluous mount points. No holes? No problem. I also bought the recommended spacer for discs and band clams for the upper mounts. That made it an easy bolt-on installation. The only problem, and that not enough to lower the rating a star, was a mis-sized bolt in the mount kit. 6mm when the universal fender mount tab is 5mm. If you're looking for high quality and strength, this is the rack.
