This case has some definite pluses and minuses. First the pluses. Very waterproof! Great size - gives many options for different sized maps. Secure mount to H/B bag. Now for the downside: the map case connects to the H/B bag in only 2 spots. This means when you are flying down hill the case flaps in the wind making a loud, distracting noise. I end up flipping the case over the front of the H/B bag to stop the noise. The second is that the snaps can be tough to secure to the bag because there is nothing to push against. Overall the case works well but seems like it was added to the H/B bag as an after thought rather than an integral part.
