A solid rack, that I'm pleased with for low mounting and top storage. My only complaint is the mounting. The small 'L' shaped extensions along the bottom with holes for mounting to lower eyelets are essentially right in line with the rest of the rack. What this means is that the rack is right up against your forks, and -you guessed it- makes the whole rack scrape the paint/surface of your forks (look at the picture of the forks on the web-page with mounting instructions and you can see how scratched up their demo forks are). I did a slight modification of bending these inward to give a little distance between the rack and forks, which can then make screwing to lower eyelets a little more difficult being slightly angled. Also, expect some slight chipping of rack coating to happen if you do this. (An alternative would be to line a long portion of the forks in electrical tape or some other protection but you'd have to use quite a bit.) -I think this aspect really should receive a bit of re-engineering on Jandd's part. The clamps provided for mounting w/o mid-fork eyelets are useful, and the rubber coating on them was sufficient for me to skip using electrical tape or other padding for fork protection. I also have Planet Bike fenders and a bike computer mounted to the forks and these do get a little in each-others way. The long slot for mounting mid-fork on the rack gives you some play, but this will influence how level the rack is. Just make sure you get the right size clamp, because the screws provided are relatively short, not giving much room if the clamp doesn't fully wrap around. Otherwise, great rack giving you lot's of extra carrying capacity.

FYI - This listing shows the capacity being 25 lbs. The JandD web site says 40 lb capacity. Frankly, I'd trust the manufacturer's specs first.
