The Arkel XM-45 is a great bag for any bike touring occasion, but it really shines when mounted to a mountain bike and taken off road. Made from tear and abrasion resistant cordura and designed with increased heel clearance for the shorter wheel base found on mountain bikes. By making the pannier taller and top loading the XM-45 hasn't lost any volume, but provides ample heel clearance. Compression straps have been place in a cross pattern allowing the load to be centered in the pannier and kept secure. Combine the XM-45 with the XM-28 in the front for the ultimate mountain touring combination.

Features

• The XM-45 features include top loading main compartment. Main compartment internal zippered waterproof liner. Although the bag is designed as a top loader, Arkel has included a sealed zipper that completely opens the bag from the front allowing for side loader organization. The box-cut top hood has a small storage pocket in it as well as doing excellent job of covering the main body of the pannier, providing another waterproof layer and added compression. The rear side pocket is great for extra water bottles and fuel containers. There is additional storage for flat items in a pocket found behind the back plate. Also included is a attachment strap for a blinky in the rear and a shoulder strap. As with all Arkel Panniers the XM-45 is equipped with Arkel's Cam-Lock attachment system. Separate rain covers are available for purchase. Available in Black or Yellow. The XM-45 work great on the Tubus disco rear rack for the ultimate mountain bike setup.
