The bag is excellent but the mounting system prevents one from removing the bag easily once seated. Its tolerances are too fine for such a device. My first generation Cannondale bag, which is much less elaborate and useful, is easy to mount and release. I've discussed this problem with the BikeBagShop; it acknowledges that it, too, has had difficulty installing the mounting brackets so the bag can be placed on the brackets and removed easily. Arkel should change the design of its mounting brackets. I plan to keep the bag but will have to live with this limitation.

This is a large handlebar bag that is made for the long haul. I've had mine for 2 years now and it looks like it just came off the shelf. I have actually fastened mine to a Nitto Campee front rack as this bag sits quite high on the handlebar and I installed Rollamajigs to get my STI cables out of the way. It's pefect on the top rack, but it stays on the bike. The handlebar set up allows you to remove the entire bag rather easily.
